Cheese Rugga [6-17-06]
This exercise is a combination of various basic snare drum rudiments, including: Flams, flam accents, flam drags, flam taps, invert flam taps, pataflafla's, diddles, cheeses, fivetuplets, six tuplets, double stroke open rolls, rim shots, and dynamic crescendos.
Tips:
1) Always use your metronome!!! Remember to practice it slowly at first, and gradually pick up speed.
2) Take advantage of the mp3 files!! There are two mp3 files attached, so you can practice the exercise with the sound of a full drumline accompaniment. If you don't know exactly how to read a certain measure, listen to the mp3's and follow along.
